Cross Wadi Run red sands to hike Burdah Arch, Jebel Khasch or Jebel Um Ad Dami – Jordan’s highest peak. 

Jebel Um Ad Dami

This hike takes you to the summit of Wadi Rum’s highest peak. The views at the summit are the most stunning with a panorama looking over Wadi Rum rugged landscape and the Saudi Arabia border, even as far as the Red Sea on a clear day. 

We will travel by desert 4×4 from Wadi Rum Village to reach the south of the Wadi Rum Protected Area. The journey is very picturesque, around 40 km. This mountainous hike takes about 3 hours/3h30m. At the summit you will have a breathtaking view of Wadi Rum’s rugged landscape to the north and Saudi Arabia’s vast desert to the south.After descending Um Ad Dami, there is a stop for lunch and a rest. On the way back, we stop to explore Wadi Saabit and enjoy watching the sunset in a beautiful area before returning to Wadi Rum Village.

Burdah Arch

Burdah Arch is a natural sandstone arch/rock bridge situated high in the mountain of Jebel Burdah with incredible desert views.

We will travel by desert 4×4 from Wadi Rum Village to the base of Jebel Burdah. This is a relatively easy hike and requires some scrambling ( assistance by rope is required just before the bridge). The climb takes about 3 hours. After descending from the ridge, your guide will find a nice spot to enjoy a late lunch and a rest. You will explore the area by jeep before heading back to Wadi Rum Village.

Duration: Full Day – 6-8 hours
Difficulty: Slightly challenging climb.

Jebel Khasch

Leisurely hike with fantastic panoramic views of Wadi Saabit and the many peaks of Wadi Rum. 

We will travel south through the largely deserted southern valleys to Jebel Khasch, a high ridge stretching east to west for several kilometers. We will hike along the top of the ridge for 2 hours, admiring the views of Wadi Rum to the north and Saudi Arabia to the south. After descending from the ridge, your guide will find a nice spot to enjoy a late lunch and a rest. You will explore the less visited sites and area of desert by desert 4×4 before heading back to Wadi Rum Village.

Duration: Full Day – 6-8 hours
Difficulty: This hiking tour suitable for all fitness levels as there are different route to the top of Jabal Khasch, ranging in difficulty.
