WHEN TO TREK?

The best time of the year is October through April

October still has rather warm day-time temperatures, very pleasant evenings. Dec – Feb – cold at night. But winter light conditions are beautiful, due to the low winter sun. Jan – March – possibility of light rain showers. Late March sees the arrival of warmer temperatures. The desert is in bloom and camel calves are grazing.

WHERE WILL WE SLEEP

It depends, you can choose from our camp or our outdoor option.

Camping outdoors – sleeping equipment supplied carpet, mattress, pillows and blankets. Other times you will need to bring your sleeping bag.

Desert Camp – Bedouin tents with double or single beds.

I’VE NEVER TREKKED BEFORE.
Is that a problem?

You don’t have to be an experienced athlete to enjoy a day’s exercise in the desert. Many of our active itineraries are built for the first-time active traveller and offer a more relaxed – but still active – experience. Our treks are designed for travellers who are in good, healthy shape. And if you’re unsure whether a trek is right for you, simply ask us and we’ll get you sorted out.
